Protect Yourself from COVID-19: Stay Up to Date on Vaccinations

Vaccinations, and especially boosters, continue to be effective at protecting people from getting seriously ill, being hospitalized and even dying from COVID-19. As with other diseases, you are protected best from COVID-19 when you stay up to date with recommended vaccinations.

New Omicron Bivalent Booster Info
The FDA Administration has authorized new Omicron bivalent formulations of the COVID-19 vaccines. A bivalent vaccine protects against two different strains of a virus, in this case, SARS-CoV-2 as well as the Omicron BA.4/BA.5 strain.

A person can get a single booster dose at least two months following primary or booster vaccination. The Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent, is authorized for use as a single booster dose in individuals 18 years of age and older. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent, is authorized for use as a single booster dose in individuals 12 years of age and older.
